DP Solutions is accepting resumes for a Business Development Manager (BDM). The BDM’s primary responsibility is to sell recurring revenue Managed IT, Cloud, and technology products and services to prospects. Through value-based consultative selling, the BDM will identify, qualify and build new client relationships through identifying and understanding prospect needs, developing and presenting solutions through effective presentation and closing skills. Successful candidates will pursue selling opportunities through prospecting and lead generation, cold calls, referrals and qualified leads.

Candidates must be able to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and stay connected to new, innovative products. General Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business administration, marketing, sales, engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Independent, successful, experienced working with a team approach, ability to manage long-term opportunities and comfortable working with senior level executives
  • Ability to skillfully build relationships with potential customers
  • Excellent presentation skills and professional appearance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • An aggressive, personable and persistent attitude that can overcome adversity
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint software programs

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Build new customers by identifying prospects, evaluating needs and designing custom proposals to suit those needs with minimal guidance
  • Build and manage sales pipeline
  • Accountable for prospect presentations and proposals
  • Monitors trends and competition while cultivating new prospect relationships
  • Attends industry conferences
  • Successfully develop new accounts to achieve growth and profit goals
  • Move prospects through qualification, proposal, evaluation, negotiation, and closing stages

Sales Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 2-3 years of successful B2B sales experience in Managed IT and Cloud services with following verifiable:

  • Personal annual sales achievement: $2M +/- recurring revenue sales
  • Average sales cycle: 1- 4 months
  • Average sales opps managed in a normal pipeline: 20-50
  • Average recurring revenue contract value: $50k – $250k
