71,000+ Chick-fil-A Customer Accounts Breached
Chick-fil-A announced a breach in which hackers gained access to thousands of customers' rewards balances and personal information between December 18, 2022 and February 12, 2023.
Our Recommendation: Be on the lookout for targeted phishing emails and make sure to change passwords on your sensitive accounts.
Biden Signs Executive Order Prohibiting U.S. Govt From Using Commercial Spyware
Use of commercial spyware poses counterintelligence and security risks to U.S. national security. The Biden-Harris administration launched a government-wide effort to provide robust protections against the misuse of these tools.
Our Recommendation: Make sure to keep the operating systems and applications on your devices updated, and stay vigilant with content and links from unfamiliar sources.
AT&T Announces Data Breach of Millions of Customers
In January, one of AT&T's marketing vendors was hacked, exposing the personal information of millions of of AT&T customers. AT&T notified affected customers as well as federal law enforcement that unauthorized access occurred.

Our Recommendation: Change your AT&T account password immediately if you have not already done so, and be sure to enable MFA on your account.
Threat Actors Leverage the Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) Collapse to Exploit Data
On Friday, March 10, 2023, California state regulators took possession of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) and appointed FDIC as receivers. As a result, we expect to see an increase in threat actors leveraging phishing emails and social engineering attacks, for example in emails that could contain new banking wire information.

Our Recommendation: The most important way to protect your business is through awareness and knowledge. If your users are aware that these types of attacks exist, they may be less likely to become a victim of them. Make sure your users have received Security Awareness Training and are aware of this potential threat.

NBA Alerts Fans of Data Breach in Which Some Personal Information May Have Been Stolen
The NBA notified fans that an unauthorized third party gained access to names and email addresses of some of its fans through an email communication service provider and were analyzing the scope of the impact.

Our Recommendation: Affected individuals may be at an increased risk for phishing attacks, so please stay extra vigilant when opening emails that seem to come from the NBA or its partners.
