General Electric investigates claims of cyber attack, data theft
A threat actor attempted to sell data and network access they claim is stolen from General Electric (GE). GE is still investigating this claim and have not confirmed the breach.
Data breach at US nuclear energy firm leaks sensitive employee information
The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) was the target of a data breach in November that exposed sensitive employee information, including addresses, Social Security numbers, and bank account information. The INL is part of the U.S. Department of Energy and is an advanced nuclear energy testing lab.
Google Drive users angry over losing months of stored data
Google is investigating multiple reports from Google Drive users who have missing files following an update. The current recommendation is for users to avoid making any changes to their cloud storage and to contact Google Support.
Ex-NSA Employee Pleads Guilty to Leaking Classified Data to Russia
A former employee of the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) attempted to share classified documents with a "Russian agent" and was arrested promptly after the exchange. The Ex-NSA employee pleaded guilty and could be sentenced to life in prison.
Warning: 3 Critical Vulnerabilities Expose ownCloud Users to Data Breaches
The software product, ownCloud, has identified three security vulnerabilities that could be exploited to access credentials, files, and license keys. One flaw has reportedly been exploited starting November 25.
