Microsoft Authenticator now warns to export passwords before July cutoff

The password autofill feature in the Microsoft Authenticator app will be deprecated in July 2025. Users are asked to export saved passwords by July 1, before they become unavailable.

Erie Insurance confirms cyberattack behind business disruptions

Erie Insurance's outages and disruptions beginning on June 7 were caused by an information security event. The investigation is ongoing. Erie will not contact customers for payment during this time.

Media giant Lee Enterprises says data breach affects 39,000 people

Cyber criminals stole personally identifiable information from over 39,000 people and allegedly took 120,000 documents from Lee Enterprises during a ransomware attack. The attack also caused significant operational disruptions and outages.

The North Face warns customers of April credential stuffing attack

This is the fourth credential stuffing incident The North Face has suffered since 2020. This type of attack is when hackers use stolen username and password combinations from one breach to gain access to other accounts when users reuse the same credentials. MFA could protect against such an attack.

Adidas warns of data breach after customer service provider hack

Cyber attackers used a third-party customer service provider to gain access to Adidas' consumer data. This did not include passwords or payment information. The number of affected individuals has yet to be revealed.
