Apps are great...as long as you know they are safe
Apps have transformed the way we live. The phrase “there’s an app for that” is perhaps overused but certainly not an overstatement. It’s incredibly helpful. Sometimes people talk about how things were better before we were using smartphones constantly, but it is undeniable how convenient some apps are for our daily lives.
But just because an app might be useful it doesn’t necessarily mean you want to install it on your device. The more apps you install on our phone, the more you have to update and manage. Apps often get permission to access certain parts of your device, like your camera or maybe your personal contacts. Sometimes, these apps have security flaws, and you have to hope the developers address them.
The point is that there are risks with everything you install. Of course, you shouldn’t be afraid to use your devices entirely, but you should be judicious about what you put on them for our own safety.
