As the President & CEO of DP Solutions for the past 10 years, I feel very privileged to be writing this message as we celebrate 45 years in business.
DP Solutions began its’ journey in 1971 as an IBM hardware and software repair shop operating out of our founder’s basement. As technology evolved at an ever faster pace, we learned to reinvent ourselves to stay on top of the trends and our clients’ continually adapting needs. We mastered PCs as they replaced green screens, we excelled at networking when computers needed to talk together, we built a data center when clients required 100% reliable hosting, colocation, backup and disaster recovery services. Additionally, we were at the forefront as managed network services became the new standard for support, we became experts in virtualization as server consolidation was developed, and now we lead with client-friendly Cloud Services.
Today we are consistently ranked amongst the highest of all Maryland IT consulting businesses for Managed Network Services, Cloud Hosted Solutions and IT Disaster Recovery.
I attribute our success to the fact that we never lose focus on the two areas that matter the most: our clients and our people. We invest heavily in employee development and we care passionately about our Clients’ unequalled experience in working with us.
If the next 45 years are anything like the last 45 years, we will need to reinvent ourselves on a continual basis in order to remain relevant and valuable. Strategies will be developed, refined, adopted or discarded as needed, but the heart of DPS will always be oriented around the two key foundations of our people and our clients.
