Job Description:
The Project Manager is responsible for executing technology projects on behalf of our clients by managing the cost, time, and scope constraints. Duties include managing stakeholder engagement, communication, and creating and maintaining a project plan that incorporates tasks, milestone dates, status, resource allocation, and financial status and goals. The Project Manager will be instrumental in organizing resources and providing leadership and direction for successful onboarding of new agreements and execution of projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive project execution, own outcomes and communication, manage stakeholder engagement
- Lead end-to-end project management for IT initiatives ranging from complex cloud migrations, cybersecurity implementations, and digital transformation projects to simple infrastructure replacement projects
- Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
- Drive strategic decision-making and provide executive-level project reporting
- Serve as senior client liaison and trusted advisor throughout project lifecycle
- Negotiate project scope changes, timeline adjustments, and change control
- Ensure seamless transition from project delivery to ongoing managed services
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout all phases
- Conduct post-project reviews and drive process improvements
- Lead and mentor project teams including engineers, technicians, and coordinators
- Demonstrate servant leadership
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all company policies
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
- BA/BS, preferably in business administration or a related field
- 5 years of project management experience
- Knowledge and experience in cross-functional project management methods and techniques
- Broad knowledge of IT fundamentals including networking, cloud, and on-premise infrastructure
- Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills
- Skill in planning and preparing written communications
- Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
- Service awareness of all organization’s key services
- Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide services
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 lbs
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
