Simon Tutt, President & CEO
With the goal of establishing the company as an innovative leader in the technology integration services industry, DP Solutions appointed Simon Tutt as President in 2007. Simon has been instrumental in creating a strategic vision for DP Solutions and has successfully positioned and advanced the company as a key player in three core business competencies: Managed Network Services, Managed Hosting and Disaster Recovery.
Additionally, Simon has implemented a fresh new approach to DP Solutions’ business methodology, with a particular emphasis on the four pillars of business success: (1) Ensuring a challenging, learning and enjoyable work environment for staff; (2) Absolute focus on customer needs and satisfaction; (3) Total commitment to improving the quality of products and services; (4) Constant innovation by leveraging new technology to solve customer challenges better, faster and more economically.
Prior to his role as President, Simon headed the tactical functions of DP Solutions for over a decade as Vice President of Operations. In this capacity, his duties included the management of day-to-day resources, finances and the delivery of schedules for all customer projects. His responsibilities also extended to business development, customer satisfaction, business process infrastructure improvements and overseeing the building of a team of highly skilled technicians, business analysts, developers and engineers. During his term as VP of Operations, Simon was instrumental in doubling revenue at DP Solutions within a four year period.
Simon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and continues to weave his ‘go the extra mile’ attitude into the fabric of the mission and goals of DP Solutions on a daily basis.
Jay LaPointe, Vice President of Sales & Marketing
As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Jay LaPointe is responsible for growing and managing the sales and marketing department and expanding DP Solutions' presence as a market-leader in the technology integration arena.
Jay has over 20 years of experience leading successful sales, marketing, operations and product development teams in domestic and global markets from start-ups to Fortune 100 organizations.
Before joining DP Solutions, Jay was Vice President of Sales for TelTel, a leader in the VoIP industry, where he was responsible for developing and implementing the company's global business development strategy. Prior to TelTel, he was Vice President of Sales at MegaPath Networks, a top provider of managed broadband services. Here, Jay built a successful sales team focused on large multi-location customers. In Jay's previous role as VP of Sales & Marketing for Adesta, a leading provider of telecommunications networks and security systems, he successfully oversaw the company's five year strategic planning efforts.
Jay received a Master's Degree in International Business from George Washington University and Bachelor's Degrees in both Finance and Management from James Madison University.
Karyn Schell, Director of Operations
With over 27 years of experience supporting distribution and manufacturing efforts in operations, logistics and account management, Karyn Schell has brought DP Solutions a wealth of knowledge. Karyn has been with DP Solutions for nearly three years serving first as our Distribution Services Specialist and then as Project Manager. Karyn was so successful in these roles that she was recently appointed Director of Operations to oversee all aspects of DP Solutions’ functions including Network Services, Help Desk, Data Center, Programming, Maintenance and Purchasing.
In addition to managing the company’s organizational operations, Karyn is also responsible for reviewing processes, improving communications, and creating an environment that benefits both DP Solutions’ customers and staff, all of which is critical to the success of the company as a whole. Karyn’s main goal is to assist DP Solutions in its development, growth, improved customer service, and continued success.
Before joining DP Solutions, Karyn was a Senior Account Manager for Crown Specialty Packaging where she was responsible for key account management, project development and execution of a multi-billion dollar customer. She also held roles as Operations Manager and Logistics Manager, where she oversaw all aspects of the manufacturing segment, including production, capacity planning, and customer project management.
Prior to her employment with Crown, Ms. Schell worked for Computer Aid, Inc. providing support and training on internally-developed financial systems to customers in the distribution and manufacturing segments. Here she also focused heavily on distribution software solutions including, Infor ERP A+, IBM DMAS and IBM MAPICS.
Clay Westbrook, Vice President of Technical Services
Clay has been an integral member of the DP Solutions team since 1989. His vast knowledge of application development, systems integration, security, and network design and implementation make him a valuable asset to both DP Solutions and the customers we serve.
As Vice President of Technical Services, Clay is responsible for overseeing and managing operations of the DP Solutions’ data center in Columbia, MD, as well as our co-location space in the Qwest Cyber Center in Herndon, VA. He directs the design, implementation, and maintenance of data center Hosting Services, including fully managed customer environments, disaster recovery services, managed application hosting, co-location services and other Internet-based hosting services. Additionally, Clay is responsible for managing and maintaining the data center infrastructure to support the hosted environments, which includes communications, environmental systems (cooling and humidity control), power systems (UPS and generator), and monitoring systems.
Clay has working knowledge of numerous software programs, operating systems, servers and security products.
Keith Spraker, Network Services Manager
With over 20 years of experience in Business Systems Administration and Management, Keith Spraker possesses an unrivaled understanding of technology, a diverse and disciplined background in leadership, and a willingness to continually expand his technical and managerial responsibilities.
As Network Services Manager, Keith is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the DP Solutions’ Help Desk and field engineering services. He works hard to ensure customer satisfaction, retention and growth. He also mentors and manages department employees, and serves as the primary liaison between departments.
Prior to joining DP Solutions, Keith rose up through the ranks from Administrator to Support Group Director with Home Paramount Pest Control – a Mid-Atlantic regional pest control provider with offices from Pennsylvania to Georgia. There, Keith managed not only the IT infrastructure, but also facilities, offices, and forms.
Keith holds both industry standard certifications, as well as vendor specific certifications for various platforms. In his spare time Keith also serves in multiple executive capacities for several volunteer organizations.
