March 10, 2026 — DP Solutions is proud to announce its recognition as a 2026 Baltimore Business Journal (BBJ) Family-Owned Business Awards honoree. This annual program celebrates multigenerational, family-owned businesses across Greater Baltimore that demonstrate long-term success, community commitment, and strong organizational values. Honorees undergo an editorial review process evaluating business longevity, achievements, innovation, ethics, and philanthropy.
DP Solutions’ 55‑year history as a family-owned business has always been grounded in the belief that people matter. Founded by Michael Stevenson in 1971 and later carried forward by his nephew, Brian Usher, the company expanded from a small family operation into a trusted, award-winning managed IT services provider. Today, Brian and his son, Joe Usher, continue that multigenerational leadership, ensuring DP Solutions’ values remain central as the company grows.
“DP Solutions began almost 55 years ago when my great uncle started the business. Since then it has grown into a team of 75 employees supporting more than 200 clients,” said Joe Usher, Vice President of Corporate Initiatives. “Watching that growth over the years and now having the chance to help carry it forward, has been incredibly rewarding.”
As DP Solutions continues to expand its managed IT and cybersecurity services, the company remains dedicated to continuing their legacy of delivering exceptional service, fostering a strong internal culture, and giving back to the Greater Baltimore community.

DP Solutions will be recognized alongside fellow honorees at the BBJ’s Family-Owned Business Awards event on May 13, 2026, hosted at Citron Restaurant & Events in Baltimore, in addition to being profiled in the Baltimore Business Journal's print and online editions on May 15.
