The U.S. Department of Justice seized over $2.8 million in cryptocurrency, along with $70,000 in cash and a luxury vehicle, from alleged ransomware operator Ianis Aleksandrovich Antropenko. He is now indicted for computer fraud and money laundering tied to the defunct Zeppelin ransomware campaign.

Google’s Gmail Warning—Hackers Gain Access To User Accounts

Google says they're seeing a sharp rise in Gmail account hijacking, as hackers are stealing passwords and sending fake "suspicious sign-in prevented" alerts to trick users into giving up credentials. Don’t click links in those emails, go directly to your Google account to review activity, reset your password if needed, and strengthen protection using passkeys or two-factor authentication.

Colt Telecom attack claimed by WarLock ransomware, data up for sale

Colt Technology Services has fallen victim to a cyberattack, forcing the telecom giant to take internal support systems offline while recovery efforts proceed. The attackers are now offering around one million stolen documents, allegedly containing sensitive internal data, for sale at $200,000.
