Baltimore, MD — February 18, 2026 — DP Solutions facilitated the connection between CreditXpert, Inc., a Baltimore based financial technology company, and Building STEPS, a Baltimore nonprofit that equips high school students with the tools they need for college and career success. Through this collaboration, CreditXpert has donated refurbished laptops that will directly benefit local students as they prepare for their next academic chapter.
Rather than sending retired hardware to a standard recycling vendor, CreditXpert sought to make a meaningful community impact by giving those laptops a second life with students who could truly benefit from them. The company sought the help of its managed IT provider, DP Solutions, to help identify the perfect partner in Building STEPS.
“Since our founding back in 2001, CreditXpert has always called Baltimore home,” said Janette Hunt, VP of Human Resources at CreditXpert. “While our corporate focus is on making homeownership more accessible and affordable, we are also committed to finding ways to give back to the community that has supported us for the past two decades.”
Building STEPS has a 25-year history of providing Baltimore City students with access to technology, hands-on STEM learning, mentoring, and long-term support throughout their journey to college and career. The organization helps students explore pathways to college success and STEM careers, enabling many to become first generation college graduates. According to their website, their mission is centered on equipping “our city’s brightest students with tools to propel them to college and career success.”
